Bobina

High Contrast

http://www.bobina.info/

“Ask me to name one of the most talented producers from Russia and the first name that comes to my mind is Bobina.” – this high appreciation was given by Ferry Corsten, the world first number trance producer.
The Bobina project was founded in Moscow in 2003 by Dmitry Almazov & Sergey Vinogradov. The debut album “Catchy” detonated the trance stage in 2004 and became the best selling trance album in Russia. The first official European Bobina’s release “Lazy World” had become the visit card of the project at the international dancing stage. European critics were delighted with the track. The track appeared in the playlists of such famous DJ’s as Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, Paul Oakenfold, Matt Hardwick, Above & Beyond, Solarstone and the others. Concerning Russian DJs the track was supported by Fonar’ and Sergey Pimenov.
In the recent interview to the leading Russian internet-portal dj.ru Paul van Dyk declarated that he is a great admirer of the Bobina’s work.
In Europe the project Bobina is famous not only by his own music, but also by many remixes of different artists (Armin van Buuren, Three Drives, Solarstone, The Thrillseekers and the others). The Bobina remake of the track by Three Drives «Air Traffic» has got the place in the chart UK Top 40 at BBC Radio 1.
Ferry Corsten: “All the productions I hear of this man are solid, very well produced and have a great response from the crowd whenever I play them in my set.”.
From 2005 Dmitry started to work on Bobina alone. In September DJ MAG (UK) gave 5 points of 5 possible to the single “September Rain” that was made by the leading British label Newstate Music! Such a high mark is a great rare for DJ MAG. “September Rain” is the first Russian trance single since “ResuRection” by PPK awarded such a high mark from western music critics. According to the opinion of most of them the project Bobina could make impossible – to stand at the same stage with venerable western stars.
In Russia “September Rain” was broadcasted by more than 50 radio stations, as well as it was put on the air of many leading European broadcasting stations such as Ministry of Sound (UK) and Kiss FM (UK). The track sounded at many dance floors of the world, having got the support of Tiёsto, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul Oakenfold, Judge Jules and the others.
Now Bobina is absolutely the most famous Russian trance project at the international music scene.
At the end of April 2006 “Beautiful Friend”, the second album by Bobina, is going to be drawn to the music market. Made for the album title track Video clip was on the air of MTV UK/Russia as well as of others Russian and European music channels. The video clip shooting took place in Manchester (Great Britain); the clip producer is Matt Howarth, who is famous for the work “Men In Black” by Will Smith. In the clip there’re a lot of dancers, who have worked with Madonna & Kylie Minogue. Also it’s notable that Dmitry had earned money by himself – during two last years he didn’t practically go out from the studio, working at foreign artist’s remixes, most of which you can find in his new album!
